I recently had the pleasure of seeing Alex on Curb Your Enthusiasm and thoroughly enjoyed. I will check out the podcast this evening. It's great that your uncle's petty nature didn't destroy, but rather, amplified this man's star power.
I haven't had a chance to see it yet but I heard he was great. I'm also very grateful that Alex triumphed. His was a real act of courage, decency, and patriotism. Donald completely (and not surprisingly) underestimated him. Rachel is every bit as impressive.
Good news, Our country, America has 80% of excellent good people, sad part the 20% has the biggest mouth and they are the one who the media pay attention too. I am happy with those percentage. America will only survive if lawless people pay the price of crime and treason.
Finishing up the podcast now - they are so great. The part that really resonated with me was the discussion around the importance of reaching out to (some) others who hold a different view, and the difficulty of many R's to admit they were wrong or supported someone so awful so they go along with misinformation and conspiracy theories. Good stuff to consider. Hope you have an AMAZING vacation and unplug for a bit!
Their perspective is invaluable. Living in NY it's really easy to avoid dealing with people with whom we disagree politically so I learned so much from them.
I have to work tomorrow night but otherwise we are unplugging as much as humanly possible.
We need more humans like the Vindmans. His bravery in speaking the truth and her bravery in facing the consequences of that truth is the definition of Patriots. Hearing them is such a simple format as you offer was wonderful! You all seemed to really connect and, of course, your questions were right on and led to a great conversation! I wish Alex Vindman had been made SoS in this Biden administration. What a great asset to our objectives in creating better ahead in this ever changing crazy time we are all experiencing. We need more good ppl like him in positions of power. Am not happy with who we got at all and don’t feel he has what it takes to bring peace to the agenda of policy and foreign affairs. I do however believe we would with a man like Alex Vindman and want to Ty very much for your service.
