Go Nancy, our words have a way of returning to us. What we wish for others might just happen to us. Think about it!

Funny. I wrote the first comment here….and now it’s vanished!

Mary, you have trolls on this site. You need moderators controlling comments.

Mary, we are trying to irradicate the spread of the disease but it seems immune at this time. We need someone or something who can quickly run this vermin out of existence.

That does it! I deleted the wrong comment and now I'm fired up. I hate what is happening to America all because of the one with the overly tanned rotting nose, Thanks to you know who can't see beyond his proboscis. It can't keep this up much longer so I'll make this short. We must fix this now. We are running out of time.

Something or someone is not allowing me to write my comment and I guess I may not do so. If it's my computer I should have it fixed. It keeps getting deleted before I'm finished and it's only adding to my paranoia.

On the other hand, I wonder if he'll last any longer than the last one.

You seem like a rather naive Democrat. Johnson was legally elected wether you like him or not and I’m glad he is a friend of Jordan. Jan6 was essentially a peaceful demonstration particularly compared to the prior year Democrat sponsored BLM and Antifa violent demonstrations. And climate change is a sham at least the part that thinks that man is responsible for. I don’t know what you mean by SS and Medicare being a Ponzi scheme. You seem a very spoiled delusional left wing Democrat. And for once we may get INDIVIDUAL spending bills in the House in sufficient time to be discussed instead of these mega trillion $ bills (a separate bill for Ukraine and a separate bill for Israel etc). That’s my money you are spending. And maybe with some luck the USA will start to learn to mind its own business and take care of problems at home instead of going around the world fomenting wars and conflicts. We are the biggest hypocrites and so is Israel ( and don’t get me wrong I am not pro Palestine/Hamas or pro Arabs or pro Russia or pro China) and in a war the first victim is : TRUTH.

Republicans didn’t want Hakeem Jeffries as the speaker, so they threw Mike Johnson out there. Don’t you get it? They elected another pedophile to their party and made him SOH!! It can’t get any more pathetic than this, or can it? Republicans have tick-brains. They can’t think rationally anymore. There only thoughts are on wealthy corporations paying for their seats so that they can continue the stupidity another term. When was the last time you had a good ole cup of coffee. Maybe you should have one, now!

I feel that there are just so many varieties of humanity that if you can’t accept that and treat the humans your making decisions about equally. Than you aren’t qualified for the job and need to step down. There is one human race and there’s very few without basically being a human mutt with genes from breeding. People need to remember we are the United states not the land of independent states

This is happening here in "copycat Canada," too. Our Trudeau (don't get me started on his dad, Pierre...) was terrified when DT met with him, but, after DT left, started copying the meaningless word salads, innuendoes, that have worked on a segment of society. Our province of Alberta has always mirrored Montana/Idaho, in being the destination of our conspiracists, and have gotten worse, since. We're starting to see mass shootings, not related to gang activities, vehicles ramming into crowds, etc. So, thanks, America, for letting OUR nutjobs establishing a foothold in our society...Like DT, Trudeau is a weak and gutless alleged male, son of a draft-dodging coward (sound familiar?) It will only get worse here with "experience..." Again, thanks DT (who will not realize the irony...)...

Beware the one who describe JT in misogynistic terms such as, “alleged male”. It is by their sexism that ye shall know them.

His hair is as atrocious as his make-up, his cheap, tacky suits. His face looks like, as my old grandpappy would say, "A can of crushed assholes." He is repulsive to look at, and listen to. By your answer, you're obviously one of the MAGA maggot religious loonytoons who thinks he's THE SECOND COMMING (something Melania would say, "Not possible"...)...

Goodness me. I think the lady doth protest too much! So you fancy JT and hate yourself for it? He may be many things, but the guy looks like an Adonis. He is usually the smartest world leader at any international event, alongside president Macron. If you want a leader who looks like a bag of assholes, and will drive your beautiful country into the ground and then spit on it, have Boris Johnson on us. We’ve well and truly finished with him. He’s destroyed the UK. We will be happy to give JT a try.

Yes ignorance, lies, insanity, spreads! Those who are sane and who the truth matters have a responsibility to do what the ignorant and insane won't do, "get help"! After all, far as they are concerned, they don't have a problem, everyone else does. In a very rational way that would be true, because the insane are sane people's problem to do what needs to be done to keep America, democracy, people and even our part in the rest of the world safe by stopping what has happened, and putting guardrails and laws in place so it doesn't happen again. Mlk said, "bad things happen when good (sane) people do nothing (or not enough)"

We have our work cut out for us. I’ve said before that the 30% of solid MAGA will never. turn away from their cult leader. And it’s true his aspirations are transparent to us (now). But not so much in 2015 and 2016. Plenty of very bright individuals who are now speaking out against Trump did not see his colors. His niece, Mary was in a battle to get her book published. And Donald was able to fool many many people . We owe Joe Biden huge gratitude for defeating Trump and repairing our international relationships. It is amazing to me that Biden has done so well domestically while he at the same time has needed to spend his first year in office traveling across both sides of the ocean to reestablish working relationships and trust with our international friends. Trump has openly and brazenly said, that he “gets along with dictators best.’ No one knows this better.than Jack Smith. I think it was the day that former Kosovo president Thacci was set to leave to meet Trump in the White House to meet with Trump at Trump’s invitation to see how they could work together in the Balkans, that Jack Smith indicted Thacci for war crimes that included harvesting and selling body parts. So think about the mindset of Trump, who as a sitting president was privy to the kind of intelligence that would have informed him about Thacci’s alleged crimes. Yet, he was willing to invite one who captured innocent civilians, took their body parts, and sold them for personal profit, to the White House. What does that sound like to you? Americans used to be so horrified that a sitting president invited someone who is tainted by a bank scandal into the White House. Then we had someone who had created bank fraud sitting in the White House as president. And that was plenty well known by New Yorkers and even common knowledge in Europe. Some of these innocent Kosovo war crimes victims were so frightened to testify against Thacci that it took enormous work for Smith and Whiting and their team to rebuild trust with them to gain their testimony. And Jack Smith also had to deal with the time element between the crimes and getting the criminal jailed at The Hague.. Jack Smith was in the middle of prosecuting Thacci at The Hague when he was called by Merrick Garland to his special prosecutor position. And now Jack Smith has called Alex Whiting, his number two guy at The Hague, who was in the middle of prosecuting Thacci to join him in his DC case. Alex wedding has a special skill set of prosecuting mafia and doing extra judicial prosecutions. Alex Whiting has.seven years experience in prosecuting the Mafia in New Jersey and Trump knows exactly who he is. While Trump exhibits don behavior such that we refer to him as don Don, our real problem with him is not ‘him’ and his transparent goal to become a dictator. He’s a puppet, and it couldn’t be more timely that Alex Whiting has joined Jack Smith with skills to deal with Mafia personalities, and with skills to deal with extra judicial. Trump won’t shut up and now that Kraken Lady and Chesebro won’t be taking up their November court time, Chutkan may do as she has already threatened: she may move up the DC trial date. It’s not inconceivable that that would happen because she’s already stated that is an option. And if she carries through with that threat, Trump may be in court prior to the January 16 Republican convention. I know there is a January 15 trial to determine how much she owes E Jean Carroll. But he wouldn’t need to testify at that because the only issue is for the jury to decide how much money he will owe E. Jean. We are only as good as our lowest common denominator. So the American public needs to think about the guy that wants to be president and who is willing to entertain a body parts sales person. That’s the bottom line for me. By the way, in case you haven’t heard about it, because every day is a new day with Trump it seems, he has been extremely vocal in his comments against Alex Whiting. I don’t read his network truth social, but I understand he has posted inflammatory remarks about Whiting and that may be the tipping point for Chutkan to set an earlier DC trial date. There is indeed a percentage of evangelical individuals who do not care at all about Trump’s behaviors, and they’ll simply vote for him, and if they can’t vote for him, they won’t vote. But among the evangelicals who supported him in 2016 are a number of folks who are fed up with his behaviors. We need to push back against him. Just as importantly, will be gaining a Blue House and Senate. I believe in a two party system and we have to get every possible voter to the polls. We need to let people know about Trump’s associations, including with Thacci.l, his side deal meeting with Putin in Helsinki after

G20 in Germany in 2017, his plan to meet with him at G 20 in Brazil in 2018 (kiboshed by his team on the plane on the way to the G 20 because of optics), and remind folks, how he said, they were good people on both sides of the Virginia supremacist issue among other events. Sorry, this is so long, but what Obama and Hillary both knew (and Biden knows) is that if Trump became dictator, he would become a puppet dictator with backing from the wrong crew. Hope I don’t get a horse head in my mailbox..

Hi Diane, Thank you. I am not much for social media such as FB. I had a career in academe - most of my colleagues (and I as well) sort of avoided social media. I had/have a personal FB page that only my daughter and I communicated on - as I needed to stay in touch as she traveled. I have a business FB page for my true career away from the world of academe - natural health centered - so this kind of blurb would not work on my own FB. I always do the 'research bent' thing, so all that I write is easily verifiable (with a google - or in this case, go to The Hague website - and I'm trying to remember where else I sourced the information on the Thaci/Trump friendship. Maybe ProPublica. No human beings should have to endure what the Kosovo monster allegedly did to them. The bar has to be high to bring criminal charges - and in this case, the victims are testifying. The case was difficult because the victims are terrified of worse repercussions - in the same mode that Trump has been able to use threats. Trump must have known this when he invited the monster Thacci to the White House. We already knew Trump had no morals. At all. But the very idea that he would entertain a war criminal monster with the magnitude of Thacci's alleged crimes is beyond telling. We know he desecrated our Capitol on January 6. But the general public probably does not know about his coziness with this monster and how closely we came to having him in our own Capitol. So what were they going to discuss at the dinner table? One cannot make this up. It is beyond imagination. There is just no sense to Trump's decision-making. But I believe with every amount of logic that I manage to have: Jack Smith is going to address Trump's criminal behavior. This case at The Hague does not directly impact Trump, so Jack Smith probably cannot discuss it. But as the president of the United States does one invite a body parts harvester and seller to a seat at the table right inside the White House? No matter how you try to re-arrange the telling of this: you cannot put lipstick on this pig. And I wonder if there is something extra-judicial for Jack Smith to have brought Alex Whiting over here while he was involved in a trial of international magnitude. One further note on Thacci: he has a group of followers, just as does don-Don, who insist Thacci is innocent and that he has been wrongly charged. They demonstrate at The Hague. And that is chilling.

But I bring this up for dialogue now because if anyone has a shred of doubt as to what is behind don-Don's clever campaign speech manipulations about how much he loves America, I wanted to clear the air: he doesn't mind associating with known despots. Also, count your kidneys. So by the fact that this and the above articles are published on Mary's Substack, maybe she owns what I have written? But if you care to rewrite as your own, be my guest. Share to any and all. The above over-long rant and this one need cleaned up and shortened to be an OpEd. If I wrote it, I think I might ask questions such as: 'How many of the MAGA followers are aware of Trump's association with Thaci, the ex-president of Kosovo, who is sitting in a prison cell at The Hague with a criminal trial for harvest and selling body parts of innocent civilians?' Then furnish the website link. Another question to pose might be: 'Why has not the 'mainstream media' published this information?' I'm sure I found at least some of it on a news site. I don't think it was NYT or WaPo. Maybe Propublica? Thaci has been in prison for three years: he has pleaded 'not guilty.' He resigned as president and was charged a few days before the November 2020 presidential election (November 4 or 5?) He was getting on the plane when he was arrested.

Very interesting- for what it’s worth I Googled Alex Whiting. I think he looks like Superman. I like that. Like it’s some sort of Good Omen. Every last one of these evil people need to crash and burn. I wish the Good Guys GODSPEED! And thanks for all the information, Valere.

AntiLisa, good guys indeed. The most important thing we can do is vote vote vote. Our democracy countdown it and we can’t relax about that for years. And take your babies with you if you have any because that’s when they learn the voting is a precious value. They learn in the stroller and high chair. One doesn’t have to say anything to kids. Just take them with you.

Indeed Re Alex Whiting. I thought it was interesting that he was pulled in for the team right in the middle of the prosecution of Thaci. At first I thought it was for international/extra judicial something. But then I read his bio and his anti-mafia work. Of course I don’t want a dead horse’s head in my mailbox, so I’ll keep my opinion to myself. Except that Trump came out immediately blasting Alex Whiting. He knows who he is.
