How does someone get their News from Fox ?

If someone tells everyone else that they are the smartest person, the richest person, the greatest person ever, what do they expect to happen when all of that is found to be untrue? He has to sit there and hear how people laugh at him and hate him. How people see right through his rotten core. Yes, that may be worse punishment for him than jail.

Everyone will be watching closely for witness tampering and jury intimidation. They will be watching from the International Space Station. Four days a week for 8 weeks? He may suffer spontaneous human combustion.

I live on a fixed income and on inhalers that just increased in price or I’d be a paid subscriber in a heartbeat. I love your writing style (authentic and truth driven) and like myself, have family I don’t hesitate to tell the truth about rather than cover or sugarcoat them. I admire that quality in people so you’re a favorite of mine as a kindred spirit. I watch his videos, more like memes, as clown entertainment, wondering at the same time, who in their right mind, could believe or vote for that idiot?

Having to stay off his phone must be killing him.

It’s too bad many of the jurors read NYT. It’s really gone downhill.

I have some concerns about the jurors being identified. Trump’s followers have shown us how violent they are and it is to be hoped that these people will be protected.

For me, the best part of this so far, is the knowledge that he’s going to have to sit there for 8 weeks, and just take it. He’s going to have to eat that same shit sandwich he has fed to all Americans these past 8 years.

Mary, you bring a psychological perspective that is enlightening. Also a great understanding of how Trump’s mind is working. I am proud to be a paid subscriber

Thanks for the backgrounds of the jurors; it’s very helpful as we all continue to read the daily chatter. I think Trump should be reminded that he’s the “first” former President to be indicted. And he has a chance to be the first former President to be convicted. That alone should spur him onto further ridiculousness in the courtroom setting. One can only hope!

Clearly, as Mary implies, this trial is going to be extremely stressful for Donald. I don't know if this has been posted here yet, but John Gartner, the eminent founder of Duty to Warn, a group of mental health professionals who have been raising the alarm about Trump’s increasingly sociopathic behavior, is now saying that Donald is heading fast down the road toward dementia.

Some of the jurors get their news from Facebook and Tik Tok? Not that today's journalists give us much unbiased reporting lately, but omg. No wonder so many voters are misinformed.

I read his sleepiness is him coming down from his drug use at night (which makes his executive time in the WH suspect) as well as his worsening dementia.

Per opening comment. Yes! Blessed relief is the main emotion for me this week. The very idea and to see him sitting there facing the reality of accountability by way of a jury of his peers is very healing ❤️‍🩹 for all of us.

It seems like there are really two worlds for Donald: one that he stage manages ruthlessly, with a powerful sense of control over truth and unreality, and the other the courtroom, where these conditions inevitably disappear. The stage manager is now a judge, and claims of truth cannot be sealed with the wave of a hand.

Mary, I have to comment on Donald's falling asleep in the courtroom: based on what my life is like, I can sort of understand it. I have chronic fatigue, and coughing asthma that take a lot out of me, and I find myself falling asleep while watching good news programs. I don't think Donald has a good excuse like that; it's just that for me, falling asleep in the middle of something is very familiar. I would imagine that boredom plus disdain could accomplish the same thing. It's also a way to escape from a place where he doesn't want to be.
