Yeah, I don't get it either. People who are anti-science when it comes to wearing a mask or getting vaccinated but want science to cure them when they get sick. It's maddening. As long as COVID is an issue I wear a mask, will continue to wear a mask, and I don't care about the looks or comments I get.
I'm in Louisiana where almost no one wore a mask even when it was supposedly mandatory and red as they all are many didn't even get their vaccinations including some of my relatives! I'm a senior and I've never stopped wearing a mask and still don't go to big family gatherings! Keep wearing your mask! And thank you for seeing that I'm getting your posts which I subscribed to months ago! Also thank you for speaking out about our disgraced twice impeached ex president!!!
Keep wearing that mask, Mary. We are definitely not done with COVID, and then add RSV and the flu on top, and we all ought to be masking in public. Hospitals are surging with admissions. It ain’t over till it’s over. ❤️😷👍🏼
I’m so sorry to hear about you getting pneumonia. Please take it easy. I feel the same way about people not wearing masks. I don’t understand it. It’s so dangerous I have not stopped wearing my mask. Be safe Mary and thank you for all you do.
It pisses me off that no one wears masks any more. Of course, I'm in Florida, so what do you expect?! In 2020, while most people were concerned about COVID, I was dealing with a recurrence of cancer. I have spent these two years building up my immune system - - the last thing I need is to have to deal with COVID, so I wear a mask everywhere, even in Pilates classes. I could have been maskless like everyone else if they had worn masks all along. Now, I doubt we'll ever be at a point where I can go maskless. People's selfishness amazes me.
The last couple of months, I have had several drs appts. .. needed to do before end of the year.
I am amazed at how so many people(mostly white here in SBCA)
NOT Masked up.
It feels just like plain ignorance or wishful thinking that Covid is gone!

You are probably feeling negative stuff with Trump continuing to be such a 'mental' deluded, case... still.having power over his living fans who have forgotten, how many of their Unmasked Republicans, have DIED, following Trump's Advice.

Eric Topol, a Cardiologist and COVID-19 specialist at The Scripps Institute is my best source for the viruses, related research, vaccines. He has a Substack called Ground Truths and is on Post and the dying bird. Michael Osterholm has an excellent podcast. Robert Wachter, head of infectious diseases at UCSF, is on the dying bird also. Dr Rick Bright is also very important in providing needed information. My immune system is unusual, I’m caring for a relative who had surgery to remove a brain tumor, we are fully vaccinated but are really hibernating to take care of ourselves. Short walks, all groceries delivered, lots of Amazon orders. Last week I went to a bookstore because I really needed to get out! However no visits to museums, which I love. We always wear masks, eat healthy, take many vitamins. But our lives will never be the same! Stay well.

I totally understand your feelings about LA and the traffic. I lived there for four months (that's as long as I could take it) and never felt comfortable there. This is why I love living in Chicago because we have many transportation options and, of course, great cultural offerings.

I'm so very glad that I've subscribed to your substack 'The Good In Us by Mary L. Trump', mainly because you always seem to speak the truth about the topics that you talk about, ESPECIALLY when it comes to speaking about for uncle Donald J. Trump. At least in my way of thinking he's hit an all time low now by announcing the NFT cards, at this point I really feel like he's got to be charged by the d.o.j. for some of crimes or whatever you might want to call them. At least for me, the main thing that I'm wanting is for him to be prevented from EVER being able to hold any kind of federal job EVER again. At this point in time I really don't know if any real purpose would be served if he were to be convicted of multiple federal crimes for him to be put into a federal prison or not.
We live in bizarre times where all kinds of viruses are playing in the air we breathe but no one masks and everyone runs around pretending it isn't normal.
Mary! Girl, you've had pneumonia for two months and you're running around the country in airports and restaurants with non-maskers??? Please take care of yourself. Get Prevnar 20 vax. Can't wait to see the show. Have your people call the Lensic Theatre in Santa Fe, NM. Love, Hannah
