It brings me SO MUCH πŸ˜€ and 🀣 that Ken Buck's resignation could hurt Boebert's Congressional "career".

Thank you, Mary, for your uplifting column. πŸ’™

I love that Lauren Boebert is in trouble. Now if we could only get the rest of that gang out… (Matt Gaetz, MTG, Paul Gosar, etc) Thank you for leaving me with a smile.

Mahalo for the explanation on Boebert's political options. I had no idea she had to resign if she wanted to run for the special election for Buck's seat. Part of me wants her to (and fail), but part of me wants her to see the crumbling of her party in November to nothing when she and Trump lose.

Wow, Mary! As always, THANK YOU! We DO need good news, but cannot become complacent, certainly, as you well know. I can't relax until the evildoers realize the mess that they caused. Bobert will become an absolute nothing once her fifteen minutes runs out, and she is no longer in office. Hopefully like do a Sarah Palin. (twenty years on: Who?!) Her extra free time will enable her to attend theatre performances. After her last theatre date, she should do everyone a favor, put on a raincoat, and take it to an adult theatre. Thank God that Christian Nationalist and January 6th Architect Johnson is slowly getting the slow "water torture" treatment and his leadership crumbles quickly as it deserves....alas, the Schadefreunde mentioned from yesterday seems to be appealing to my mind. The upside is that after years of general political complacency, I have strong opinions that must be voiced at the ballot box.

The hope you offer is precious to me (as I’m sure it is to all who follow you).

I desperately need to believe we will prevail. Today on MSNBC it was emphasized that, β€œAre you better off today than you were 4 years ago?” isn’t the smartest question for the GOP to ask. Four years ago today Covid was pronounced a national emergency. Like all trauma, we try to forget and move beyond it but the fact is that Donald was an abject failure as a leader, especially in a crisis. This should be emphasized more. The contrast is profound!

I posted a video Ruth Ben-Ghiat did about why Donald spends time with dictators. My young Trumpy cousin wrote back, β€œDonald Trump puts America first and he helps our country to where dictators in other countries won’t want to harm us.”

I tried to be nice and talk about things. Like Donald doesn’t care about anyone but himself, bad businessman, sexual assault, rude behavior. I asked my rather soft-spoken cousin if he thinks it’s okay to make fun of people who stutter and he said well what about Hunter Biden’s bad behavior reflecting on the whole Biden family?

And then we were off to the races with Hunter’s laptop, the woke liberal media, β€œreliable” sources like Fox and Newsmax…

Anywho, it was disheartening. But maybe there aren’t enough people like my cousin. Maybe???

I totally agree that the Republican party is circling the drain and with enough of us showing up at the polls, they'll be on their way out. Great Substack.

Wish it would happen to the green person (can't call her a lady), too...

This is great news. We hope that the republicans lose their seats and especially MTG, Bobert, Cruz, Jim Jordan, etc!!! And God, when will Trump be charged and thrown in Jail. We loved what Jimmy Kimmel did on Oscar’s night. My husband and I had to replay it, because it was so darn funny πŸ˜† That really backfired on Trump!!!πŸ˜†πŸ˜…. Thank you Mary for all your doing and we are passing the word around and encouraging them to support you which intern supports the American people.

As I wonder about all the crime being exposed in the Republican party from the least to the Supreme with absolutely no consequence, it's a gift to treasure when real-life consequences do happen.

Mary, I love what you are doing, but I have to ask. Do you really need our money? If you do, I'm happy to contribute. I'm lucky enough I can afford it, but the depth of my pockets have limits. If you really don't need it, I'd rather give it to the many great authors out there who really need it who also are helping save democracy. Your advice is most appreciated, and thanks again for what you do. Said most respectfully.

Et tu Ken Buck...Way to go! This is making my huge bet on Joe Biden winning handily look better and better. Trouble for Boebart, Johnson and BIG trouble for The Orange Menace just makes my day. Now if we "Blue Believers" in Athens, Georgia can find a way to make BIG trouble for

Marjorie Taylor Greene, and when I rake in the $$$, I will be a happy old former Hippie!
