Lorne Michaels - for doing the right thing with the last SNL of the year and protecting his cast and crew and recognizing that SNL is a touchstone for so many of us … so when we tuned in on Saturday night to see that they kept the live audience home and had just a handful of amazing people put on a show with good humor and kindness but also make a very pointed statement that THIS IS INCREDIBLY SERIOUS and pretending like everything is OK and normal and safe is not going to get us out of constant pandemic crisis. Only responsible public health mitigation efforts will. Way to go Lorne. Putting people ahead of profits. Same which cannot be said of the powers that be at the NFL.
My Good Guy (Girl) is US District Court Judge Tanya Chutken who is overseeing many of the insurrectionist cases and the Trump Archives case. While I like the Sakler vote, Amy is covering a mountain of cases and standing for democracy. Judge Chutken, check her out!

My "Good Guy of [last] Week" is the latino prison inmate on work release at the Amazon warehouse crumbled by the tornado, who (instead of fleeing the scene to save himself, or escape prison) stayed to free those who were trapped in the rubble. As yet, and to my knowledge, he has not been identified. BTW: this StephHead absolutely adores everything you do. Love, love, love.
Good guy of the week is the young man who came to my aid yesterday morning when I sprained my ankle stepping off a porch at an air B&B. At first glance he looked like an insurrectionist. I was so very wrong. He was a gentle man who not only helped me up, but he cleaned my car after I hobbled back upstairs. I believe he was a vet and as a VA nurse I was glad, later, that I was able to thank him.

And it's got to be said: " When Joe Manchin did his " that's a NO" on Fox NOS, Speaker Pelosi came on like a Steel Magnolia instead of flipping out like everyone else. These two play the long game. And agree about Letitia and Tamara and all the women judges who carry on in RBG's tradition.
