Dolly Parton. She never stops finding ways to help the world and now she is offering a free education to her Dollywood employees. What a woman!

What I want to know is why the hell they don't cuff and load his fat rear end on the nearest paddywagon and drop him off at the nearest jail until he is transferred to DC to face the music. Finally. They confiscated whatever documents he didn't ingest, flush or otherwise destroy from his HOME. If that doesn't nail him dead to right, what will? Time is getting short.

The disconnect in this country is so disturbing. I’m visiting family in Oklahoma and not one word of any of this “Donald did another bad thing” has reached them. But, in case you didn’t know, in Oklahoma media, Biden has sent new and improved crack pipes along with unwanted ballots to unsuspecting Americans. And is starting a war and causing inflation and taxing white people and and and… completely different world out here. So I just sit here in a daze and type out weird comments on substack and Twitter when I can find a signal. Please send help.

Also Dolly Parton rules.

I’m done venting. Goodnight.

Ok no I’m not my stepdad just pronounced Hillary was found guilty of something or other oh my fucking god please get me out of here

Not one person, but many - the brave Ukrainian people. Watching them march with solidarity and love for their country in spite of the looming threat of an unprovoked attack is a powerful statement that democracy is worth standing up for. May we all find that strength in ourselves and each other in these difficult times.

This isn’t really a good person, but I’ve laughed multiple times daily about the gazpacho police. But don’t forget the Luftwaffle.

I nominate Nathan Chen. His talent and athleticism was beautiful to watch. He made us all proud Americans (which is so unusual these days). A great immigration story, a great comeback story, confidence without arrogance, and he gave us all a reason to cheer.

Thank you for the lovely photo of the sunset, Ms. T. Can we please get a court ordered psychiatric examination of the Great Orange Ego? And while we are at it, a diagnosis of delusional disorder for everyone still embracing the Big Lie and denying that Joe Biden is the lawful POTUS. I am having serious trouble interacting with people who can't process the evidence determining who won the election in 2020. And on a related note, I nominate Justice Sotomayor for Good Human of the Week for her no-nonsense rejection of anti-vaxxers claiming religious exemptions so they can be easier vessels of transmitting a deadly disease. When a selfish faith-based choice harms the well-being of the community, it ceases to be something a loving Higher Power would ask.

Have to agree with Dolly Parton. She does so much good without needing to TRUMPet about what she is doing. If you know what I mean.

My nominee is Willow Biden. Though not a person, her presence is charming and fun! We NEED fun! On another note: I believe the Gazpacho Police had a very ‘cold’ collaboration with the ‘Vicheysoise’ Government in the ‘40’s!

Well, I think we now ave to flush the idea of DT or the s$$thole ex-president being germophobic. I read somewhere that germophobes definitely don't eat paper. Everyone says so. We can now call this latest scandal The Toilet Papers. But seriously, what if he is secretly communicating with his paramour from North Korea and imparting the news that he is the "the RealReal" president of the United States. Or with Putin, Erdogan? Orben? Etc. causing very realreal damage. Is anybody monitoring his communications with foreign dignities?

For honorary and distinguished service, Congressman Jamie Raskin. I just saw a documentary on him on MSNBC and his commitment to the Constitution is unwavering.

Like last week this one is easy. It has to be Dolly Parton. Free education for her theme park employees is another great deed to help better the world around her.

Though he's long gone, I keep thinking of Ray Bradbury and his prescient Fahrenheit 451. I'm so grateful to the writers of the past who helped prepare us for these times and gave us the language and imagery to deal with our situation. My brother saw Bradbury speak in '99, and someone asked Bradbury if he felt upset upon hearing schools wanted to teach a censored verson of Fahrenheit 451. He said he didn't feel upset; he felt vindicated.

LOVE the sunset, despite the unsettling temps (here too in NC).

I'd have to go with Dolly as well, having recently watched her Netflix documentary & especially since I read about her employees getting free rides for college.....all 11,000 of them!!!!!!

I'm still inspired by Patrick Murphy and his band of Irish fishermen out of County Cork. That might have been last week, though.

Sorry Mary but I do think it’s very funny and so clever so my vote goes for Hillary this week.

“Hillary Clinton did not waste any time selling merchandise about Donald Trump's obsession with her emails amid a report that the former president disposed of documents, drafts, and memos in the White House toilet. Clinton made her sales pitch on social media on February 12, writing that the "But Her Emails" hats were being offered "just in time for Galentine's Day, and the news that Trump was flushing documents down White House toilets." The post included a photoshopped picture of her wearing the hat, which is currently being sold on her non-profit organization website, Onward Together.”

Dolly Parton

In addition to her amazing generosity, only a small part of which has been described here, she had a video made of her getting vaxxed, and she recorded an altered version of “Jolene” which she called “Vaccine”.

Dolly Parton - it seems this amazingly brilliant human could qualify every single week. Of course I nominate her this week for her blanket provisions for every single (part, full, summer, intern, brand new) employee of her eponymous theme park/giant recreational area ‘Dollywood’ in her native region of her native state; to pay for all books and tuition if they decide to pursue higher education. Very similar to her free books/library donations over the many years … she appreciates that education is the most effective way to improve outcomes and change lives.

** It did not go unnoticed that she announced this new program the same week that the First Lady confirmed (& got a lot of press over) the fact that free community college tuition is no longer a part of the Build Back Better package. It was an excellent shift in focus to see concrete, actionable steps to find other avenues toward higher education for all whom want it. She makes my heart sing. ❤️🎼☮️

I nominate two amazing young athletes; Nathan Chen and Chloe Kim, for their outstanding athleticism and grace as they won gold medals in ice skating and snowboarding respectively. They did the most good this week because they lifted our spirits during this time of worldwide tension over Ukraine, anti-mask protests, and gun violence. These young Olympians represent the good in their generation, and give us hope for a better future.

I can’t find the place where this was intended to be read: You are more likely to get more information by starting at the bottom. There you find more of those with something to give than those those closer to the top. Whether or not true people at the top of the ladder have what might be seen as having more to lose or be damned by. Once you are the president you don’t go back to the haberdashery. I’m sorry this belongs elsewhere.

BEVERLY, MASS. AND POSSIBLY BEVERLY, ILL.? HOPWEFULLY, SHE IS WELL NOW?

What is the history of Beverly?

In 1890, the section of modern-day Beverly north of 95th Street was annexed to the City of Chicago. The section west of Western Avenue and south of 99th Street was added to Washington Heights. Beverly is community area #72. It is on Chicago's far south side, 12 miles (19 km) from the Loop. I DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT MASSACHUSETTS BUT I WOULD LIKE FOR YOU TO TELL ME HOW LONG IT HAS BEEN IN CHICAGO? I MUST HAVE HURT MY HEAD WORSE THAN I REALIZED DURING MY NOVEMBER CRASH ONTO THE SIDEWALK?

THIS BEVERLY MUST HAVE BEEN NEAR CHICAGO AND NOT IN MASSACHUSETTS? THANKS FOR EXPLAING THIS SO EXPLICITELY.

What county is Beverly MA in? OH, COME ON NOW,YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT! CORRECTION: IN WHAT COUNTY IS BEVERLY?

What county is Beverly MA in? WELL, IT LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE GOING TO INSIST ON DISPLAYING YOUR POOR GRAMMATICAL SKILLS. I CANNO TTEACH AN OLD DOG NEW TRICKS.

Beverly is a city in Essex County, Massachusetts, and a suburb of Boston. The population was 42,670 at the time of the 2020 United States Census. A resort, residential, and manufacturing community on the Massachusetts North Shore, Beverly includes Ryal Side, Beverly Farms and Prides Crossing. If any Republicans are reading this, let me explain this to you As more people move into that area, the population will increase accordingly. That doesn’t mean that they will all play the accordion.

In the United States, there is a difference between estate and inheritance taxes. Estate taxes are levied on representatives of the deceased person, while inheritance taxes are levied on the beneficiaries of an estate. Elsewhere in the world, these terms are used interchangeably. In the United States, the terms of idiot and genius is sometimes used interchangeably by clowns who are involved in governmental affairs. Bill Clinton and Donald Trump were both known to have had numerous affairs. Mr. Trump was a clown at one of the fairs before he sacrificed himself toward his claim of “Making America Great Again”. Anybody with a thimbleful of brains should know that it is stupid to say you will make America great AGAIN, when it has never been great during the past 246 years. Nobody in America has ever even thought of the novel idea that it might be a sensible thing to do by requiring that a president should have any intelligence at all. Fortunately, in at least one Muslim Country, those people demand that their president must be highly- educated. Sir Ronald McDonald Trump is such a ‘stupid genius’ that he wanted to prevent Muslims from living here. Since we are such a wonderful Nation, we have a lot of people who also want that to be the law here. We have never been the “Christian Nation” we may have claimed to be.

THE LIFE YOU SAVE MIGHT BE YOUR OWN: When working with live electrical circuits, remember the old electrician’s trick - keep one hand in your pocket. This helps decrease the chance of a closed circuit traveling across your chest and through your heart. This will prevent you from having one hand on the toaster and the other hand touching the faucet at the sink. If you happen to be ten feet tall, don’t ever stick a finger into a light socket and touch a faucet or any other appliance that is plugged into an electrical socket. It is much better to be short and healthy than to get killed because of an electrical short. (Confuseus is telling you this!)
