All one can do is hope that he’s doing a thorough investigation. No leaks. Where is Andrew Weissman? He’s been under the radar for months. He was Mueller’s lead investigator. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Garland is not Barr, and that Weissman is involved in some way in bringing justice - from the top down. Every day there is new evidence that Trump et al committed crimes. If we can’t keep up, DOJ can’t either.

Often now I’m astonished to observe the enthusiasm from this GOP, from right-wing media, from sitting US House members who appear to strive for to work tirelessly to undermine democracy. Thank you, Mary, for your tireless work in keeping accurate facts REAL and exposing the hypocrisy of those who fight to prop up your uncle, purely to hold absolute power.
It’s unfathomable to me that the media remains obsessed with Hunter Biden’s laptop (and lest we forget, unlike TFG’s kids, Hunter Biden has zero role in the government), as well as the Will Smith-Chris Rock altercation. You are right, American media is not a serious enterprise. There are some exceptions found in a few opinion writers and a handful of reporters who actually do their job, but a lot of reporting seems to be done by people behaving like middle schoolers masquerading as journalists.
The atrocious never ending pile on over Hillary’s emails told us everything we needed to know about how the news media fails us. Hunter Biden’s mysterious laptop and the Chinese failed business deal are this year’s email server. Lord help us.
I enjoy all your podcast interviews, but especially enjoyed this one due to the discussion around religion and how the right has co-opted it and used it as a club to inflict damage on women and minority groups, in particular. I’ve been hoping for years the left would have the courage to challenge it and reframe, but thus far they’re too afraid (shocking, I know).
