Oh the criminality Trumpler extracts from his clown-car of unprincipled, spineless, power-hungry, heartless, self-serving suckups.

What the eff is wrong with humans?

Expand full comment

Unfortunately, a lot is wrong with these people. To still show loyalty to a felonious madman who wants nothing but revenge and to stay out of the big house is very bizarre in itself. His proposed Project 2025 should be enough to scare the hell out of any normal thinking human.

seriously personality disordered folks climbing over the "dead bodies" as needed on their path to power in a society that aids and abets them rewarding the terribly toxic masculinity as well as narcissistic/sociopathic behaviors as positive. It is SO ugly but unfortunately not new. They use whatever tools are available to dominate while coming up with outlandish rationales for doing so to justify hoarding resources. The internet most notably the latest tool used by rich and powerful bad humans to capture attention, brainwash and spread mis/disinformation and lies. Essentially assists in amplifying their PsyOps/propaganda agendas.

Is this how they were raised at home? Is this what the" crisyuns" were taught in their churches?

Hmmm... WWJD?

That is exactly what some of their churches teach. Check out YouTube.

I spent 42 years as a clinical social worker and addictions specialist and it is my professional opinion that the whole human race is frigging nutz in one way or another. What makes it worse is that there are 8 billion of us!! That is too much "nutz" for us to handle well. If we would "Love thy neighbor as thyself", it could work a lot better. Of course, that might mean locking tech gizmos up first though. Blessings to all!

Laura, your comment is evidence that there are sane and caring human beings. Let us work together to cultivate more sanity and caring.

Let’s cheer these losses but keep in mind, we have a long way to go. We need to keep our eye on what is the most important and that is to stop Donald from getting back into the White House. I will take all of these losses or “wins” for us, but keep pushing forth. Awesome, Rudy Colludy can’t keep his mouth shut. Ruby and Shaye are doing the right thing! Keep these suits going, just like E. Jean ❤️. Thank you, Mary! 💙

Everybody has got to use their right to VOTE in the 2024 Elections, County, City, State and Federal ones; shit starts at the bottom

AND raises to the VERY TOP .

Texas passed a law that effectively disenfranchises the whole of Harris County and the city of Houston...3 million people, because they vote blue. As a lifelong Republican (a party no longer in existence) who now votes blue, I am totally pssed off that my vote has been made null and void. I am a senior and think the time has come to realize we are in a war. Maybe we need to operate like the French Resistance in WWII. Enough of vapid arguments.

Expand full comment

We can't let them disenfranchise us before we even voted! We all have to be prepared to jump through whatever hoops they try & put in our way, stand in lines, & at least try to vote in numbers so big they can't fake them without obvious cheating. What scares me is that lately the right wing has been so overtly mask off & blatantly fascist, that I worry they have something planned for 2024 election day. Imagine what they could accomplish w/ all the classified info they stole and foreign help; not to mention what terrible plans their thugs might be preparing on the ground in Democratic voting areas.

How can they get away with that? Where is the American Civil Liberties organization?

Good post. How do you propose we stop Donald from getting back in the WH?

Reasoning with his supporters is impossible because they're nuts.

What else can we do?

Expand full comment

His supporters are 28% of the vOting population. If the other70% vote blue he can't very well win can he. The answer is right there. The question is how do we get the 70% to vote and vote 💙?

No one will be able to change the minds of Donalds supporters, so not worth the effort to reach them. IMO, we need to go after the independents, as well as the Democrats. Biden is losing the support of some Democrats, need to bring them home. Also, some voting blocs that Biden is either losing or they are going soft. Get the message out about Bifdens accomplishments, too. We can’t just go after Donald, we have to lift Biden. None of this will be easy, that is for sure. I do not understand how anyone can support Donald, but here we are....again.

Yup. I'd predicted the same result despite the conservative bent of the 11th Circuit. Overthrowing the government is not an official job duty.

And good for Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss! I guess Rudy didn't learn a lesson when E. Jean again sued Trump when he defamed her again, including after the trial that he lost. Of course, they're unlikely to get any money out of Rudy, but I'm sure their attorneys are not charging.

There are priorities, with the government being #1. I'm not sure how the rest would shake out in bankruptcy.

I doubt he has remotely enough to cover his debts to the government, his lawyers, his victims.

After writing the above, I read that they are seeking an injunction against him to stop him from continuing to defame them. I'm not sure how successful they might be in that endeavor. It's not easy to get restraints on speech.

Mary, thank you for consistently and correctly calling out the unscurpulous behavior of Donald, his administration, and far too many Republicans still in charge today.

It is really true - anyone who tries to work for DJT will end up worse off than when they started. He uses people; tries to keep himself as clean as he can (though often fails to do so), and uses others to commit his crimes. When will people learn?

Heck, if he isn't going to be indicted for registering to vote in North Carolina using the address of an old mobile home in the mountains that didn't belong to him, then how do you cure Republican Voter Fraud? He used that address so he could vote in NC even though he no longer lived there in 2020. So, he has no redeeming attributes anyway. Boom.

If Uncle Donald does get back into the White House, it won't matter if the convictions are federal or state level. He will do whatever he chooses to do. However, it seems unlikely that he will decide to pardon Meadows at all as he has been seen as not sufficiently loyal.

This is such good news, even if it was expected. I think that these decisions (and yes, I read them since I'm a nerd) also make it very clear that the courts that have heard these cases do not believe that public officers, including former officers, are above the law. The logic of the courts and the long list of court cases explaining that overthrowing an election is not part of official duties does not bode well for Trump's cases.
