I love the crisp early morning air and the rushing sounds of the ocean in Salem , Massachusetts It’s peaceful serene and picturesque. A tall stone cracking fire place a warm cup of tea and a good book to read , were the vacations I used to take to my in-laws house.
It still surprises me that most of my Salem friends and I are descendants of the same group of anglo settlers there. Lucky for my friend Sandy and me, descendants of two ancestors due to be executed by decree of my 11th great grandfather and two of her 10th great-grandmothers were released when witchcraft hanging was forbidden by the governor.
Thank you, Paula. It's memory passed down, yet I first discovered it in my Quebecker lineage. Long story probably not appropriate here fitting the purpose of Mary's most helpful understanding. She has awakened me, something I desperately needed.
